By regularly cleaning the blades, maintaining the battery, and using the tool correctly, we can preserve the performance and safety of electric pruning shears, extend their lifespan, and achieve optimal work results. Here, we will look at how to adjust the blade gap.

Caution: Always turn off the tool and remove the battery pack before inspecting or maintaining it.

Caution: Wear safety gloves when handling the cutting blades to avoid injury.

Over time, the blade gap may become loose, which can lead to dull cuts. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically adjust the gap. However, do not overtighten the blades as it may overload the motor and shorten the tool's operating time.

Steps to Adjust the Blade Gap (For Kebtek model: YDN-B007/YD-6622/KT930/KT933/KTE-35):

All bolts and nuts 

Loosen: Anti-clockwise

Tighten:  Clockwise

1. Use a hex wrench to loosen the bolt and then remove it.
   
   

    

    
   Note: Do not loosen the nut before loosening the bolt. Doing so may damage the nut.
2. Use a socket wrench to loosen the nut, then manually tighten it.

• Recommended tightening torque is approximately 0.5 N•m.

 

    3. Reinstall the bolt into the tool and tighten it with a hex wrench.

PS: Kebtek KT940 currently utilizes our patented design of combining clockwise and counterclockwise screw mounting.

This reduces the chance of the set screws coming out due to looseness.
KT940 is our current model with the largest 40mm cutting force, which can cause the set screws to loosen over a long period of time.

4. Check if there is no gap between the upper and lower cutting blades.
